本報訊：國內最具影響力的30個商業團體加入呼籲行列，要求追究問題防洪工程事件相關人員的責任，並發表強烈聲明譴責政府公共工程的腐敗行為。

商業團體聲明：“我們以最嚴厲的措辭，表達我們對國會中許多立法者、行政部門官員，主要是公共工程和公路部、地方政府部門和審計署官員的可恥、肆無忌憚、持續且過度的貪污腐敗行為所感到的憤怒、厭惡和失望，這是對我國人民，特別是持續生活在極端貧困中群眾的犯罪。”

商業團體補充：“雖然我們注意到總統對政府中腐敗分子的告誡，但我們擔心這些有罪的官員將繼續他們快樂地搶劫人民和中飽私囊的行徑，完全沒有意識到他們正在背叛公眾信任，對我們的人民犯下叛國罪行，而且根本是不愛國且罪孽深重。”

商業團體呼籲“由獨立機構徹查，以起訴貪腐官員、將他們監禁並追回被竊資金”。

團體聲明：“唯有成功懲治腐敗，才能為菲律濱人民——特別是貧困群眾——實現正義。”

週一，小馬科斯總統宣布將發布行政命令，正式成立獨立委員會調查問題防洪工程案。

隨著防洪工程亂象引發的爭議持續發酵，商業團體強調其呼籲“不僅是要求節制貪慾……我們對這些貪腐官員的集體呼籲是——請立即停止！請憐憫正在受苦的國民吧。”

有鑑於此，這些團體提出以下建議：

——協助識別參與竊取人民財產陰謀的犯罪者

——參與並支持公民與選民教育活動，使民眾認識腐敗及其他治理失當行為的危害，從而能辨識並選出具有良好反腐記錄的官員

——收集政府官員，特別是公造部、地方政府單位及審計署的官員及其私人犯罪同夥的腐敗證據，以便對其提起刑事與民事訴訟

——將與貪腐政客及官員勾結的商人與承包商列入黑名單，永不與其進行交易

——帶頭簽署《廉潔承諾書》，明確規定企業領導者及其所屬企業不得為工程項目獲得批准或獲得特殊待遇而賄賂任何政客或政府官員

——鼓勵金融機構，特別是銀行與反洗錢委員會，與我們一道，在法律和監管範圍內查出洗錢者及其來源不明的財富。
